Kids Cable Car

A cable car is a “cabin” or “gondola” that is pulled up by cables. The gondola is attached to a pull cable. The funicular's cables are powered by something called a "station", of which there are two. One at the bottom of the mountain and one at the top of the mountain. The grabs above the gondola have to climb the hill, while he grips the cable tightly. So the “gondolas” have no motor. It is widely used in areas where there are many mountains.
The cable car goes up or down slowly and smoothly, which gives a scary or fearful feeling.

The Langkawi Cable Car is one of the most spectacular activities in Langkawi. This isn't for the faint of heart, but it's worth it. You enjoy a beautiful view on the way up. The cable car goes to the second highest mountain in Langkawi: Mat Cincang.

Cable Car - Langkawi

If you want to ride this breathtaking cable car, you should go to Oriental Village. Here are over 50 other attractions that you can see or do here. Such as good food or eating at a restaurant, or shopping. There are ATMs for your father or mother.
Near the cable car is also a small zoo. No dangerous animals, but kangaroos, ostriches, ponies, deer, etc. You can take a look here before taking the cable car.

After the cable car has left, you will have a spectacular view. The beach below is called Pantai Kok. You see Oriental Village from the other side. The first part of the cable car is 600 meters long. Eventually you will arrive at the first station: the Observatory. Here you can look around and enjoy the view.
But..... you are not there yet, because the cable car goes even further. You may have to queue for a while before you can continue with the cable car. At first, the cab jerks and accelerates, but a little later it slowly resumes. Departing from the Observatory may be exciting, but you'll soon get used to it.

You will be treated to an even more beautiful view of the rainforest and the hills below. The funicular ride is at its "coolest" here and in too short a time you reach the terminal station, which is the most exciting. Here you will find a number of stalls with souvenirs, toys, snacks and drinks. Just a few more stairs and then you can finally enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding landscape, skyline and sea around Langkawi.
The topper: To the side is a steel suspension bridge over Mount Mat Cincang and a neighboring mountain. You have to walk over this bridge. It is a fantastic experience and you have a breathtaking view over the island and the sea towards the north.

The ride is great and you might want to take a look around Oriental Village once you get down. Go to the zoo or enjoy an invigorating drink or a delicious ice cream.
The Oriental Village also offers exciting elephant rides and for the elderly: ATV trails, motocross rides and SEGWAY in and around the Oriental Village.
