The Lexis Hibiscus in the beach town of Port Dickson (PD) is just a stone’s throw away from the bustling capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. It is located in the state of Negeri Sembilan.
Shaped after the national flower of Malaysia, the Hibiscus, Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson has over 600 rooms with over 500 of those built over the water. Each room boasts a private dip pool and a steam room. The double queen size or king size beds layout in its rooms makes it ideal for those vacationing with family and friends. A glass panel on the room floor furthers the feeling of being directly above water and allows observation of marine life and the ever-moving waves. For Singaporeans looking for a quick getaway, Lexis Hibiscus is just a 3-hour drive from the Woodlands Checkpoint or Tuas Checkpoint. Alternatively, take a bus ride via Golden Coach Express which stops directly at Lexis Hibiscus itself.

The Shorea is an architect’s family retreat, built within a tropical forest reserve. Its secluded villas are set on natural terrains, with meandering paths leading down to a jungle stream, a waterfall within the Berembun Forest Reserve; it is the ultimate forest getaway. The name ‘Shorea’ is a genus of about 196 species of rainforest trees. The resort is constructed by using mainly the shorea timber species which is sourced locally. Most of the resort is also constructed using recycled shorea timber, including main roof beams, timber pillars, staircases, balustrades, and timber bridge.
Villa Shorea is a double storey, 2,000 square feet main villa, boasting the magnificent view of the mountain. The Infinity Pool is a recreational pool for all the guests at The Shorea. Part of the pool is designed with a cave ‘liked’ feature tucked behind a water cascade. Overlooking the infinity pool, the Plunge Pool is a relaxing pool for all the guests at The Shorea.

The Dusun - an orchard resort on the edge of a Malaysian tropical rainforest. The dusun is an hour from Kuala Lumpur and its airports, but feels like a world away.
This small nature resort began as a simple retreat from the city for our family. In 1984, Helen put an ad in the Malay Mail to purchase a rural lot. Walking through a rubber smallholding in Negeri Sembilan, she looked out to the Mantin hills and fell in love.
There are 7 houses on the Dusun, each unique and set to catch the views and the wind while maintaining privacy for guests. Our maximum capacity is 20 adults. We do our best to maintain a sense of space and peace for all guests here on the Dusun.
Jungle trek to a waterfall (within walking distance) The trek is guided and takes 20 minutes to get to the jungle entrance then an hour to get to the waterfall. The rate is RM80 for the first two people and RM30 for each following person, including the jungle entrance fee.
